The Learning Journey

Growth Mindset.
Real World Readiness

École des Roches goes beyond exams. We build the resilience, mindset, and global perspective that shapes exceptional people — and exceptional lives.

Our Philosophy

The most important thing a school can give a child is not a grade, it is the belief that effort creates ability. Every lesson, every challenge, every struggle at École des Roches is designed around that single idea.

At École des Roches, we practise a Growth Mindset, the research-backed understanding that intelligence and ability are not fixed traits. They grow stronger with the right challenges, the right feedback, and the right environment.

This shapes everything: how teachers give feedback, how students approach failure, how we structure every day. Our students leave not just with outstanding results, they leave knowing how to learn anything.

01

Embrace Challenge

Students learn to see difficulty as the signal they're growing — not a reason to stop.
02

Learn from Feedback

Assessment focuses on progress & improvement. Teachers coach forward, not backward.
03

Persist Through Setbacks

Errors are essential steps. Resilience is built by going through difficulty, not around it.
04

Own Your Learning

Students develop the self-direction that universities & employers increasingly demand.

The Language Journey

More than French.
A second way of thinking.

True bilingualism is not vocabulary and grammar. It is the ability to inhabit a second culture to think, reason, and feel in another language. That is what we build at École des Roches.

Set in the heart of Normandy, our campus is itself an immersive environment. Students live, eat, and socialise in French not as a classroom exercise, but as daily reality. Intensive training of 25 hours per week is built around drama, music, phonetics, and civilisation workshops.

As students progress, they integrate into mainstream mathematics, sciences, and physical education ensuring no academic ground is lost during the language journey. Students can also sit the internationally recognised DELF certification, accepted by universities and employers worldwide.
