Overview

Lycée International Français

Founded in 1899, École des Roches has occupied a distinctive place within French and international education for more than a century. In partnership with École Jeannine Manuel, the Lycée combines the rigour of French academic excellence with a deeply bilingual and internationally minded environment.

Students pursue either the Baccalauréat Français or the BFI, two pathways that unite intellectual ambition, cultural fluency, and global perspective. Through small seminar-style classes, close academic support, and an immersive boarding environment, students develop the confidence, independence, and adaptability to thrive at leading universities in France and around the world.

On our 50-hectare Normandy campus, students engage with ideas, cultures, and disciplines that extend far beyond the classroom. We prepare students not only for academic success, but for leadership in an evolving international world.

Real stories. Real impact

I started here on the French as a Foreign Language programme for three months and the I inter-grated and began to follow courses in the IBDP Programme. Every one welcomed me with alot of kindness

Why École des Roches?

Excellence Within a Community of Care

Our approach rests on the conviction that excellence and genuine wellbeing go hand in hand. Here is what sets the Lycée programme apart.

Seminary-style Classes
Specialist subjects taught in small groups — a forum for debate, critical thinking, and peer learning that prepares students for the most demanding university entrance processes.
True Bilingualism
Bilingualism at École des Roches goes beyond high-level English — it is the ability to understand the other person's cultural codes and adapt accordingly. BFI students reach near-native command of both French and English.
Partnership with École Jeannine Manuel
Our pedagogical partnership with École Jeannine Manuel — whose students regularly access the world's most selective universities — strengthens the quality and ambition of our university guidance.
Less Screen, More Life
Screen time is limited and social media strictly supervised. This deliberate choice allows students to anchor themselves in real interactions, cross-cultural friendships, and collective projects.
